Dr. Kessler's Presentation

12/4/2022

Dr. Kessler’s presentation was engaging. I thought he was very funny an di learned a lot about Jewish texts. I would say that I would enjoy learning from this professor on weekly basis but I will admit the choice of topic was not the most interesting to me. The way he organized his thoughts was also just not personally very effective for me. I like to bounce around a lot but he did it in a way that made me loose focus on what he was saying. That being said when I was focused on what he was saying he spoke clearly and I could understand the content. And I think considering the subject choice not being the most interesting he kept student interest fairly well mostly through use of humor. I am unsure but I thought I remembered hearing that the candidates chose the topic they wanted to talk about themselves and if that’s the case I really wish he picked something else.  We learned about genesis 28. We also learned how to interpret Hebrew texts.
