How do I View Prayer?
While reading the hikers journals and learning about the trails and journeys these individuals go on, I thought about prayers and how so many people do this in a different and unique way. I personally grew up in a Christian household. My thought on prayer is that to me it is my time and way of communicating with God. In praying I give thanks for my blessing and discuss my personal hardships. I ask God to provide for me, my family, my friends and often those in need. I ask God to use me in ways to show others positivity. For others, they could view this as just asking, or just solely giving thanks. Maybe to others it isn't a discussion with a higher being, and maybe its again solely just them being able to be present in their thoughts and feelings. The idea of prayer and how it's viewed really depends on the person as well as what it is they do or don't practice. As I read and learn more about these journeys, the idea of prayer is such a rich part of a spiritual journey. Some even explain how they have to be out in nature to truly experience that communication and discussion with a higher being.
