I found it interesting to hear in Image and pilgrimage in Christian culture that pilgrimage is increasing at a faster rate than tourism. Pilgrimages is becoming less obligatory according to turner. He also points out the discrepancies between stories of the resurrection in different versions. And highlights the irrational nature of the versions.
