Learning Differences of Eastern vs Western thought

This semester I am in a Religions of the East class, as well as this one, Sacred Communications which has been for the majority has been focused on western thought. Growing up in a christian household I've kind of always been surrounded by western thoughts and practices. But being able to learn about eastern religions has been impactfully mind opening and interesting. Grasping and understanding this class has been much simpler than the religion class. I feel that relates to my upbringing. Though there are many similarities between the two, I think the biggest thing I've observed is that the sects and religions of western thought are all very hand in hand. Eastern religions are drastically different at many points.
