My Sacred Place

As humans we experience and feel things all the time and in many different and unique ways. Where we experience life has and always will be a part of what makes up a person's background. Sacred places can be found anywhere and everywhere. These places could be a house, a corner, a car, a beach, a store, a room, a chapel, and more. For myself, I find that my room back at home in Chester, is my personal sacred place. My bedroom is my sacred place because this is where many of my core memories and important life changing moments happened to me when growing up. These experiences range from learning how to use the computer, to sleepovers with my friends and brother, learning of certain family members passing, long nights of hard work, crafting, starting my business, singing my heart out, most of my time spent during the pandemic was in my room. The list could go and on. While my sacred space is in my home, its often not like that for everyone. Sometimes people need to use this place to think through their thoughts, or practice a religious ritual. Those examples would include churches, temples, worship rooms, or study groups, and more.
